  • 1 fresh red apple chunks diced (You can use tart apples, granny smith apples or any kind you like, we love basic red apples, but do what you like.The red apples really seem to bring the apple flavor out more in the cookie)
  • 1 tbsp caramel sauce
  • ½ cup of oil
  • ½ cup of flour
  • 1/4 tsp apple pie spice

Instructions

  1. Cut up your fresh apple into small pieces
  2. Mix cake mix, the tart apple bits or whatever kind of apple you like, eggs, caramel, flour mixture and oil together to form a thick dough
  3. Roll into balls and drop dough on a parchment lined baking sheet
  4. Heat oven to 350 for a baking time of 7-9 minutes

My kids absolutely love these cookies, as I mentioned above. They do not last long at all in my house.

I have also been known to take them to Christmas parties during the Holiday season too. If you want to add a bit more flavor and make them seem a bit fancier for a party, be sure to add a few sprinkles of sea salt to the top of the cookie, for more of a sweet salted caramel flavor.
