So, I was given the chance to sample and try MealEnders recently and to let you know what I thought.
MealEnders website describes them as:

By engaging your trigeminal nerve, MealEnders keep your mind occupied for up to 20 minutes (the Overeating Zone), giving your natural satiety process time to kick in and catch up. When the MealEnder experience dissipates, your body’s natural signaling process of satiation will have begun.
MealEnders fit easily into your existing routine, helping you learn healthy portion control. And they aren’t a drug, stimulant or supplement. MealEnders are a straightforward, common-sense way to assist you in reducing the amount of food you eat. MealEnders naturally transition you away from your desire to eat too much and help train the mind and body to eat healthy, right-sized portions.
I was a little reluctant when approached about doing this review, but when I saw that MealEnders is Gluten Free, Low Fat, Kosher, Have No Drugs, No Herbs, and No High Fructose Corn Syrup I thought I would try it out. What did I have to lose, there was no added ingredients that could harm me, after all!
You can use MealEnders at the end of a meal to replace dessert. When you feel the urge to finish a large plate of food just because it’s there. When you crave a second helping but don’t feel hungry or when you want to snack on junk food between meals. You know your weaknesses and temptations. Use your intuition and use this little secret weapon.
As far as the flavors go, the flavor is just okay. Some better than others but, I am the type of person that if I know something is going to help my greater good I can eat it anyway, or look past minor set backs and this was just a minor set back. MealEnders come in four flavors, Cinnamon, Mint Chocolate, Citrus and Mocha. My favorite was Mint Chocolate, it tasted a little like an Andes Mint so it did ward off a sugar attack or two. Each flavor has 2 grams of sugar and 15 calories per piece. Beware: once you get to the inner-layer of each lozenge there is a slight tingling sensation, that is the active taste sensations cleansing the palate and stimulating both your mouth and mind, giving your brain time to realize you’ve had enough to eat. You may like, you may not. (Just a fair warning! ;-)) Make sure you savor the lozenge, allow it to completely dissolve, no chewing or biting!
Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty of the matter. I am not a huge fan of products like this because…..
- Added sugar.
- You aren’t really teaching yourself to live a healthy lifestyle or eat well.
HOWEVER, if you are just starting out living a healthy lifestyle and teaching yourself to eat clean this product wouldn’t be terrible because, it will curve your appetite (to some aspect). But, you will have to train your brain to go for something different instead. Reach for an apple not a Kit Kat and you still have to watch your portion control! Don’t count on this product alone to do it for you!
