Okay, so this post is close to over sharing. Correction, it is over sharing, but it is for sure well needed. You know I am always looking for natural remedies and in this area it is no exception. Especially in this area!

You know I am always wanting a more natural way of doing things. I stay away from over-the-counter or pharmaceutical meds as much as I can. I am not anti-meds, there is a time and a place for them. But, if I can find a natural remedy for something I am going to take advantage of it. I started looking for a natural remedy after I had my hysterectomy when I suffered from these nasty infections way too often. I finally found the original of this recipe on One Good Thing By Jillee. I tweaked it, made it my own and haven’t looked back since.

Essential Oils

The grade of essential oils is SO important, especially in this recipe. You will have these oils on the most sensitive areas. My rule of thumb is, if you cannot ingest it, it is not worth having on your skin. I have tried many many essential oil brands and I have only been extremely happy with DoTERRA. I know without a shadow of a doubt that they are safe, they are effective and this brand of essential oils have changed my family’s life.

The Benefits of These Ingredients

I wrote a post a while back about the many benefits of coconut oil so it should be no surprise that coconut oil is completely safe in this area. With it’s anti-fungal, antiviral, and antimicrobial agents it is no surprise that this should be the base of this recipe. Lavender and melaleuca essential oils aid in inhibiting the growth of candida albicans. Combined all of these ingredients are powerful and aid in tremendous relief for an extremely lower price than over-the-counter or pharmaceutical medications.

Other Products You Will Need


  1. In a small bowl, melt about 2 tablespoon of coconut oil, then add 8 drops of each essential oil. (It is your responsibility to make sure you are not allergic to these essential oils. Please make sure before you use this remedy.)

  2. Pour the combined oils into a silicone mold. 

  3. Put the mold in your freezer until the oils have frozen solid. 15-20 minutes. This makes insertion of the oils much easier!

  4. Break the sticks into whatever size you would like.
  5. Insert the stick into your body when needed. 


  • The coconut oil will begin to melt as soon as it comes into contact with your skin, so you’ll want to use a pad or some toilet paper to absorb the oil. Repeat as necessary.

  • If you are prone to getting yeast infections after sex this is a great preventative.
  • After you insert the suppository make sure you lay down so as much of the ingredients stay inside and start working immediately.
  • After you freeze the suppositories make sure you store them in a BPA Free Container in the Fridge to keep.
