I have been really diving into Jesus’ walk, here on earth and His ministry.  It’s amazing, no matter how many times we read the Bible, God points out something different each and every time. And this time has been no different! So, yea, Jesus had a lot of doubters too!

Jesus Had A Lot Of Doubters Too

The number one observation I am taking away this time around is that Jesus had doubters. He had LOTS of doubters! Just like you and I!!!!! When you look at His life and really think about it, you begin to wonder if we saw these things happening in real-time on TV or social media right now, would we believe it? Or would we be just like all of the doubters? Would we really understand what He was sent for? Would we scream FAKE NEWS? Or call Him crazy?

When you read the Bible and read about His ministry you sometimes could feel the sarcasm from others as He spoke. You could feel the doubts of others. You really could feel the tension. Some people probably thought He was “full of himself” for speaking of himself as the Messiah. Some others, I am sure wanted to believe, but couldn’t because He didn’t “fit the mold” of what they thought the Messiah would or should look like.Jesus Had A Lot Of Doubters Too.png

Faith and Discernment

BUT…. This is where faith and discernment come in my friends! Faith is knowing that there is a God that loves you. Faith is knowing what the Bible says is true and studying it everyday. Discernment is learned while having a relationship with God and reading His word. See the trend here? You have to read His word yourself! You can not count on others alone to tell you what the Bible says. If you do you will miss out on the relationship! Simple as that!

Most of Jesus’ disciples saw Jesus for who He was, because of their relationship and faith. Some did not, but that is a different story for a different day.

It’s time we all grew our faith and relationship with God by reading His word, praying and striving to be more like Jesus every single day. Jesus is coming back and when He does, we want to be ready!  We want the faith and discernment in knowing that He is the one true God. We want the faith and discernment in knowing that what we are hearing and seeing is not FAKE NEWS and that it is real.Jesus Had A Lot Of Doubters Too.png

Where To Start

  1. Dive into the Gospels of the Bible: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Here you will learn more about His ministry and what He endured. The Gospels will make you appreciate His sacrifice. It will make you appreciate His love even more than ever before.
  2. Pray. Pray without ceasing. But as you pray, do not forget to listen to what He is trying to tell you.
  3. Practice your faith. Live it, breathe it and own it. God said this life would not be easy, but it would be worth it.

Going through life with doubters is hard. We all have them, but so did Jesus. So take heart, He is the light of the world. You are in good company my friend. Keep moving forward!
