DIY Beauty Recipe for Luscious Eyelashes & Plump Lips

I can be a bit crunchy at times, but when it comes to beauty there are two rules I always follow:

  1. Wear badass lipstick
  2. Always wear mascara to brighten your eyes

Even on the days I feel my worst, the days I am in the house with the kids or out-and-about on the town…….. I always wear some rockin’ lipstick and mascara and take charge. I mean who can take charge if they don’t look their best? Am I right?!

I love my beauty products, there is no doubt about that! I am always looking for ways to enhance my products or enhance my features. There is no exception when it comes to my cosmetics and skin care. I am always trying new ways to try-out new cosmetics for a fraction of the cost and of course cutting back by making my own when I can!

Luscious Eyelashes

So let’s start with my mascara. With a drop of this and a drop of that, you can turn that fine tube of mascara into a conditioner, lash lengthener and, keep your tube bacteria free.

Rosemary oil stimulates hair growth. When applied over the scalp rosemary essential oil helps stimulate hair growth. Many people also claim that it can prevent baldness, slows graying, and can be used to treat dandruff and dry scalp. So why not put it in your mascara to help those lashes grow!

Lavender is antimicrobial and can be the perfect addition to your fine tube of mascara to keep nasty bacteria away. Bacterial growth in your mascara tube can cause common eye issues that need a bit of time to clear up. The added regenerative talents of pure Lavender are just the properties you want to keep hair follicles healthy and producing, as well.

Plump Lips

DIY Beauty Recipe for Luscious Eyelashes & Plump Lips.jpgPlump kissable lips are a must when looking your best! So before you apply the lipstick make sure you exfoliate and condition those bodacious lips of yours. Your lips can get very neglected through the elements and seasons, they become dry and cracked, but we tend overlook them. Not anymore! They are the only lips you have, so take care of them babies!

The list of benefits of honey used on the skin is mighty long, including; Amino acids, Vitamin C, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc. Honey not only benefits the skin, but can be beneficial to your immune system and so much more. (Another article in itself, but be on the lookout.)

Coconut oil is another that has SO many awesome things about it. You can read about them at Top 22 Uses for Coconut Oil and see for yourself.
