Cancel Culture is Accepted in Modern Day America and it is sickening!
Before we get started I will say this: I am not into “cancel culture”. I do not answer to the world. I answer to God. Everyone has their convictions. Unless I feel the need with God’s guidance to “cancel” someone, I do not! If I was into “cancel culture” I would not shop anywhere probably. Every company has something that you will not agree with. Do what you can and let God take care of the rest. Everyone has their junk!
Cancel Culture is Accepted in Modern Day America
The world is, just that, the world. I myself, pray through and move forward the best way I know how with God’s guidance. At this point in the world, that is all we can do. Cancel culture has gotten extremely out of control! Just because someone has a certain belief system it does not mean that they must cancel a certain business for having a different belief. I believe in God’s grace. Again, do what you can and let God take care of the rest. We are all God’s children whether you believe in their belief system or not. But if you do feel convicted and you need to stop using a certain business, choose to love, not ruin someone else’s livelihood or reputation.
Cancel culture has made its way to social media, go figure! (Insert eye roll) When I choose to follow someone on social media or in “real life” I look at character. I follow someone that is kind, has shown love and promotes unity, no matter what their platform is about. Now of course, if someone brought to my attention something worth mentioning, I would look into it. And if it is worth an unfollow, I would never try to ruin their life or livelihood, as I have seen on social media in the last few weeks. And for goodness sakes, if you must leave, you do not always have to announce your exit. Pick and choose your battles. If what you are going to say is not something God wants you to say as you exit, stay silent. Simple as that!
I find it ironic that the people calling for this cancel culture are also ones that are screaming about unity and love. I am curious, how is that showing unity and love? Just a thought….
Social Media Platforms
My platforms have not been spared either at this point, because of my conservative and religious beliefs. The same beliefs that have been apart of all of my platforms for years and have never been “snuck in” on anyone. I have always been upfront with everyone and have included in all of my bios and about pages my religious beliefs. So it is truly baffling to me. I know that people will “cancel” me and they need to go ahead. I can not win everyone! People have to do what they have to do, but so do I and on that note, I will continue to speak God’s truth. It is called free speech! Or so it used to be called free speech. I am wondering what the phrase free speech means to everyone these days though. Does free speech mean that: You are allowed to speak your truth, but only if I like it…
That is truly the thought process these days and it is extremely sad!
Cancel Culture is Accepted in Modern Day America
I never feel that a person’s life or livelihood should ever be ruined for their beliefs. If you believe differently you might want to check yourself and pray over it. You are not without sin! Because, here is the thing…. You cannot hate a man when you love God! And ruining someone’s life shows hate.
I have noticed that, as long as you are openly liberal with your beliefs on social media you are in the clear and will be spared, but if you are conservative in your beliefs you must watch your back constantly. Look, I am not in the business to make everyone happy. I am in the business of making God as happy as I can by following Him and only Him and not following the world. It’s a sad world we live in right now. There is so much judging going on right now.
Don’t Be Scared of Speaking God’s Truth
In this day and time, you have to stop being so scared of being labeled a “racist”, “white supremacist” or what ever they choose to call you and stay true to God. He is the only one that matters. God did not say this life will be easy, but He did say it would be worth it.
Matthew 7: 13-14: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
I love you! Jewish, Christian, liberal, conservative, black, brown, white, gay, straight, etc., I love you and I think you are great! No judging here! I do not see you as all of the things I listed, I see you for your character…. Character is all that should matter in the way you treat people.
My Platforms and a Favor
With all of that being said, stop canceling everyone and start sharing your conservative friends’ posts and articles. (Conservative does not always mean Republican, BTW.) They are struggling right now especially if they are continuously speaking God’s truth. Some, including myself, are making a living off of content and it is very hard when they are continuously worried about being canceled. . Businesses are choosing not to work with them, liberals are slandering their name and platforms are choosing not to show their work. It is a hard time for many, including myself.

I would like to take the time to say thank you for being here and for continuing to allow me to speak my truth. It does not go unnoticed and you are truly loved for it.
